Politics is a game; one of several odds—- with many foes.
But as the saying goes; There are no permanent friends or enemies in the game of politics.
It is then quite understandable that political fights which might sometimes escalate into verbal confrontations are inevitable.
Below are some nasty political confrontations worthy of remembrance.
1. Remi Tinubu/Dino Melaye Fight In the 8th National Assembly was brutal. The choice of words “impregnate”, “thug” used by the duo over their disagreement was quite remarkable.
2. The stealing of Mace during plenary by thugs of now, Deputy Senate President, Omo-Agege. This action was retaliation for his 90 days suspension from the House.
3. Dino Melaye/Smart Adeyemi brutal exchange of words over 2019 election into the Senate. Dino referred to Adeyemi as his political wife.
4. Lawmakers climbing Fence: Following the defection of then speaker, Tambuwal from PDP to APC, lawmakers were locked from the National Assembly.
5. President Buhari was entangled as contestations arose between lawmakers of the two major opposing parties in the National Assembly during the presentation of the 2019 budget
